I have owned and used a Toshiba NB205 for two months. It worked as my main computer.
STRENGTHS: —
- Excellent screen, keyboard, touchpad
- Good Linux support
- The RAM is easy to upgrade
- Many stores (3xUSB, Ethernet, microphone, headphone, VGA)
- Large hard drive
- Lights Information on the front of the chassis (power, power, charging, WiFi)
- Cost: <$ 400
- The battery life is surprisingly good (more than six hours, in my experience)
- The accelerometer has completed the hard drive as a portable computer (Windows only JOG)
Weaknesses: —
- No Linux support for the accelerometer
- No DVI support (OK, I'm just picky)
That's about it. I crossed an Asus Eee 700 and 900. I'm glad I chose the Tosh instead of an Eee 1000.
